Latest Version Disconnecting GPU in the PMDG when Request Catering

Hello,

I just updated GSX Version 2.8.9 – December 24th, 2023 and when I request catering, it disconnects my GPU.   I can confirm it was not doing that yesterday on the last version.

We are talking about an issue occurring in 2.8.9, right? According to the Installer, 2.8.9 is the latest. When will you publish the "current" update?

Fixed in the current Live Update.

Thank you, however, this has only partially been fixed.   My GPU no longer gets disconnected at request of catering but now is getting disconnected when boarding completes and the jetway gets pulled away.

How did you manage to download and install an update beyond 2.8.9? For me the installer continues to show 2.8.9 as the latest version, running the update again does not solve the problem you described in your first post.

All I did was just run the updater again.  I don't think they changed the version number for this GPU disconnect fix.  It fixed it for me at the catering but now I have the problem at the end of boarding.  Weird how one part is working for me and not you.  Hopefully they get to the bottom of this issue quickly.

I saw your response to my post on the MSFS Forum.  I don't want the forum mods yelling at us for doing 3rd support there.  :-)

Like I said there,  I use a popular first officer program that was worked seamlessly with GSX until this recent update.   The APU is not started until the before start flow kicks off.  What triggers the that flow is waiting for GSX to finish boarding and then closing the door. 

Now with the this update,  GSX is killing the GPU before that flow even kicks off.  So either I'm going to have to talk with the dev of that software to rewrite his flow process or perhaps you could make this an optional setting in the GSX settings menu?

As I already replied to you in the MS forum, there will be a question about it in the next update and, if you have the "Start Engines before Pushback" option Enabled in the Airplane profile, it won't even do the question, and will just not Disconnect Ground Power when the Jetway goes away.
