Hello everyone
This is my first post here. I am using MSFS 2020 and GSX Pro.

- Older PC
- Mainboard Q170M2
- Intel Core i7 6700
- 32 GB RAM DDR4
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super, 6 GB
- Windows 10 Pro

Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack X
- TCA Quadrant Airbus Pilot
- TCA Sidestick X Pilot

As far as you can expect from this system, the FS runs satisfactorily (low-end).

However, I have some problems with GSX Pro. I have now completely uninstalled the programme and reinstalled it on another hard drive.
The main problem is the following: As soon as I have activated GSX, there are difficulties with the connection from the TCA quadrant and from the stick.
I have separate profiles for the Arbus FBW 32NX and the Headwind A339.
The inputs from the quadrant or stick arrive in the FS, the corresponding inputs move in the Control Options/Sensitivity, everything is calibrated, even in the EFB (where the control movements do not arrive in this situation, however). The controls in the cockpit then also no longer move.

To summarise briefly: I can start a flight with the FBW/Headwind aircraft, but also with the Asobo B748 and B789, everything works, pushback, departure etc., but if I don't switch off GSX Pro, I have the problems mentioned after landing, the aircraft suddenly can no longer be controlled.
If I go back to the main menu and reload the aircraft or another one and reset the flight plan (from Simbrief), everything usually works again.

Does anyone have an idea, an approach for a solution. It is really frustrating.
Unfortunately my search in this forum did not lead to any results

Thanks, Wilfried

And sorry for my limited English - Deepl helps to translate...

Please clarify exactly what do you mean by "As soon as I have activated GSX", what is the precise, exact, operation you are doing in this case?

Please clarify exactly what do you mean by "I don't switch off GSX Pro", what are you doing to switch it off?

That's to be expected, since nobody ever reported this before.

Hello, good morning

I will try to describe the problem in a somewhat structured way.

It is probably related to the pushback process, as already described in other posts.

Here are three scenarios, all with FBW A32NX

1) -------------------------------------------------------------------------

- I'm ready for the pushback
- Customise Parking Position: Pusback with Towbar
- call the GSX pushback service
- "Locking Gear"
- Loss of steering controls
-"Release Parking Brake, please!" - This is only possible with the mouse, TCA and sidestick no longer work
- Pushback is ok
- No engine start possible (or only with the mouse)
- End pushback, L is clear / R is clear, clear to start engines...
- still no controls
- Restart couatl
- OK the controls are back, engine start possible

2) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I put the aircraft back on the same gate
- have no controls
- Stop engines with the mouse
- Restart couatl and GSX in the menubar
- Controls now active
- Customise Parking Position: Pusback towbarless
- Pusback GSX
- Ready for Pusback, truck lifts the aircraft
- Release Parking Brake: no controls, must use the mouse
- Pushback OK
- Set Parking Brake (no controls)
- abort Pushback
- Controls are back
- engine start normal
- Start taxi, everything OK
(Why do the wheel chocks remain on the wheels during pushback?, they are gone at the start of taxi)

3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I interrupt taxi, return the aircraft to a new gate with GSX
- Loss of control, the aircraft enters the terminal...
- Stop with Parking Brake (mouse)
- Reset the position
- Restart couatl + GSX in the menu bar
- Customise Parking Position: Pusback any Type
- Restart couatl in the taskbar
- Control returns
- Stop engines (still running from previous taxi)
- Call GSX Pushback
- Loss of control
- Pushback Truck w. Towbar
- Release Parking Brake - only works with mouse
- Pushback OK
- Start the engines with the mouse
- Parking Brake with the mouse
- Confirm good Engine Start
- CONTROLS ARE BACK
- Taxi Ok

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think the type of pushback truck has any influence.
Anyway, there is a bug in the pushback process of GSX.

When I complete a flight, there is sometimes a loss of control again, for example when I stop off the runway to look for a gate via GSX.
Restarting couatl sometimes helps (not always).

I hope that a solution to this problem can be found. Thank you.

Nothing in GSX controls, checks, or affects the joysticks and nothing in GSX affects your wheel chocks either. GSX might ask you to remove it on some airplanes, but it will NEVER control them.

That is to say, if you were losing controls because of GSX pushing (which happened only during an extremely brief time, on a single version and ONLY after doing a "QuickEdit" pushback, and of course it has been fixed in the latest version, this would result losing ANY controls, not just joystick, because in that case, the problem was the Quickedit editor that normally disables the simulation, but it didn't correctly. Again, this has been fixed.

But the fact is only affecting the joystick, seems to indicate that is not your problem.
