When pushing back, it takes off like a thunderbird.
« on: October 02, 2023, 01:38:54 pm »
Reliable reproduction is impossible. However, it usually occurs on the second leg.
When you release the parking brake on pushback, it takes off vertically and crashes to the ground.

It's like the way the Thunderbirds take off when returning to base.
And it's a failure.  :'( :'( :'(
This is a bug that exists from previous versions.

Doesn't it heal?

You don't say which airplane you are using

You don't say which GSX tug (Towbar or Towbarless) you are getting.

I feel like it happens mostly on the 2nd leg, on FSLABS, and on Tow bar Less tractors.
It has low reproducibility and occurs suddenly.

Umberto, I raised this issue initially in January and responded again three other times when it happened to me. The original post was here:

https://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,28888.0.html

The original videos aren't around anymore since too much time has elapsed since those posts were made and Twitch automatically deletes them after a certain amount of time, however, I do have two clips of this taking place.

https://clips.twitch.tv/FlaccidMildElephantOhMyDog-hinNieR6aVE13xHp
https://clips.twitch.tv/FurtiveMoldyFriseePraiseIt-LrSgXKndVp2l6xTq

In my case, this happened with the PMDG Boeing 747-400 at various airports. I've had it happen with both tugs. Additionally, I have had it happen in both P3D V4.5 and 5.3.

Those video are not very useful today, since the pushback method has changed a lot, please verify again both towbarless and towbar ( they are completely different ) and always indicate which airplane you are using.

I haven't had it happen recently. If it had, I would have posted in the original post. And as I stated in my earlier post, this happened in the past with the PMDG Boeing 747-400 and BOTH the towbar AND the towbarless tug. I don't know how I can be any more clearer about that unless you need to know which engine variant I used, it was the PW4056.

I posted in the other thread, but this happened again today. FSDreamteam KORD, gate C18, PMDG Boeing 747-400, towbarless tug. Starting point 2:37:08. It happened a second time at 2:44:44.

It still happens. All MCDU data will be destroyed. A problem occurs during the return flight.

This problem has been occurring for a long time now.
Just as there is a sinking phenomenon in MSFS, there is a "Thunderbird takeoff" in P3D. If this happens, you will have no choice but to give up on continuing the flight, so do not rush to make corrections. I hope you can find the cause.

I mean, I get that this is a serious problem, but that might be a little dramatic. As you can see in the video I posted, it took a few minutes to get everything re-configured again, but I didn't lose all the FMC data, and I still continued the flight, albeit without a center IRS.

Does it matter that the GPU tow vehicle is floating in the air? It always floats when disconnected.

That is an issue in itself, but I don't know that it's relevant to this particular issue.

Hi

I think it‘s the problem I have too. And many others with FSLBS Airbusses have the same problem, es you can see in their forum.

https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/topic/33918-problem-with-gsx-after-pushback/

Thanks for solving the problem!

Regards
Joël

I actually can't see in their forum, presumably because I don't have an account, so it won't let me. It just says I don't have permission to view it.

Hi Kevin,

Sorry, I did not think of that. Otherwise here a summary:

- The problems are here since a GSX Update
- After pushback you can not set the pitch trim and moving/rolling till you reset GSX or GSX disappears by itself
- The problem occurs only with pushback truck without towbar (towbarless)

I hope I can help with this.

Regards
Joël

Joel, it sounds like this is a completely different issue compared to the original issue that was described, so you would be better off starting another thread.
