Is there a way to restart Couatl P3D When It Crashes?
« on: July 20, 2023, 08:59:20 am »
Title, really.

The P3dv4 version of Coautl has been hit and miss for me since the launch of MSFS version.

Whenever it crashes (which is randomly and often), the option just disappear from P3D like it was never there. Sometimes it works flawlessly, most times not.

Is there a way you can start the exe like you can with MSFS and it gets re-enabled in the sim? If not, can that be considered?

PS: tried to checkthe error log but it only has a crash from 8 days ago, there was no panic file in today's crash.
PPS: Windows has it as the very generic:

Faulting application name: Couatl64_P3D.exe, version: 4.8.0.5237, time stamp: 0x648457bf
Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.19041.789, time stamp: 0x2bd748bf

Yes, I would like an answer to this question also in P3Dv5.4. For me, whenever couatl crashes I have to restart windows, not just P3D.
Thanks.
