Something wrong with GSX for Prepar3d
« on: July 07, 2023, 03:55:38 pm »
Hi guys, i've reinstalled GSX for Prepar3dv5 recently. But when i go to activate, it shows that the "Couatl script engine hasn't started, this is caused by antivirus that has blocked it". I tried to run the FSDT universal installer to fix it, but it shows an updating error, like the picture below. I uninstall and reinstall many times, it shows again. Could anybody help me for this problem? Thx.

There's nothing wrong with GSX, the problem is likely your internet connection being censored ( I see you are in China ), so the updater cannot work correctly. Use a VPN.

I’m sorry for my bad grammar. To be clear, I use VPN during the whole installation and the problem still appears.

Be sure you have added the whole Addon Manager folder to the Antivirus Exclusions.

Sure, i've done that. I run the universal installer again and i found that couatl.exe was not runing when i start the P3D program.

Couatl.exe is the 32 bit version so, unless you are referring to P3D V3 or earlier, the correct version is Couatl64_P3D.exe, in the Couatl64 folder. Which of course should start together with the sim, provided the antivirus is not blocking it.
