Do you see something suggesting a download problem in the bottom log window ?

Yes, that explains it, the message says "you" canceled the download, but in fact it also meant "me" ( the installer ) canceled it, because the download timed out.

This might suggest a connection problem, since you are not downloading from our site, you are downloading from your local cloudflare node, meaning it should be both very fast, and shouldn't suffer from an eventual congestion due to many users downloading directly from our site.

Try disabling the firewall first. If that doesn't work, it might be a routing problem at the ISP level, you can try a VPN in this case, this one is supposed to be quite good, even in the Free mode:

Hello Sir!

I have tried both of your tips, disabeling the firewall and using VPN. I unfortunately still have the same problem.
I tried to open one of the links where the operation times out, and my browser can't find anything there.
Do you have any more thouhts?

That message doesn't mean anything: your browser ( I guess it's chrome ), it's playing tricks on you, because you typed

http://update.virtualisoftware.com/setup/fsdtroot/couatl/OpenAL32.dll

But Chrome automatically changed it to:

https://update.virtualisoftware.com/setup/fsdtroot/couatl/OpenAL32.dll

And since the Updater doesn't use https, it will say the file is not there, misleading you the server doesn't have it, but it has. If you use the same link on MS Edge, it should work.

I it did say the same on MC edge as well. I tried again, and now I got through! How do I get my installer to use MC edge?

The problem doesn't happen here on MS Edge. The installer will always use the correct URL, no matter what your browser you use, I only made an *example* to let you TEST the URL, but if you really cannot find the URL with MS Edge ( are you SURE you are typing the correct and complete URL, which starts http, NOT https ? ), then the problem must be your ISP possibly filtering the site, or possibly the antivirus.

You can try the Offline installer, posted in the Sticky thread named "Offline Installer", that will at least give you the latest code, but for the latest updates for models and operators, you must fix your connection problem, since those are not contained in the Offline installer.

So when I'm using the offline installer I'm stuck here... What does it want me to check? Msfs is up to date

That's not the Offline installer screen you posted, it's the Live Update, it seems it have issue connecting to the site, most likely a local cloudflare node issue, see here:

The Offline installer looks completely different, and it's not connecting to the internet at all. However, it will only update the main GSX code, updates to new models, textures, operators, can only be get online, so it's best you try again, maybe later, until the Live updater works again.

That message is very clear: the installer cannot connect to the internet so, it's either a firewall problem, or a problem of your internet connection, for example if your country censors the internet. In that case, you need to use a VPN.
