Not at all, because for years, we use the add-on.xml method, which is the official method of installing anything from P3D 4 and above, which means:
- we don't install anything into the sim
- we use the Documents\Prepar3d v5 addons folder, which allows Auto-discovery.
Auto-discovery is what allows you to even remove the whole simulator entirely, and reinstall a new version, and ALL your add-ons (only the ones using the above method, of course) can be re-enabled on the first start, because the sim will see you have an add-on.xml file in Documents\Prepar3d v5 addons folder for them, so it will just prompt you to re-enable that addon, not requiring to reinstall it. That's auto-discovery, which we support fully.
Of course, if you reinstall Windows or for any reason lose your Documents\Prepar3d v5 addons folder for the previous install, you will have to reinstall the add-ons as well.
