Refueling ATR 72/600
« on: April 28, 2023, 03:48:34 pm »
I'm on version 2.5.5 of GSX, if someone has understood the refueling procedure I would be interested.
Should we leave checked "show MFS Fuel and cargo during refueling"?
I have entered the masses of fuel in the MCDU as soon as GSX asks me to enter them, my truck does not start refueling.
When I check the box in the GSX options of the plane my truck arrives and leaves despite the selected fuel percentages.
I know that automated door opening is not yet supported by gsx, would it be the same for refueling?
Thank you friends.

Dumb question: are you sure your aircraft need refueling? By default the sim starts with 50% fuel. If you do short legs you usually need less than 50% and the truck doesn't do defueling he just leave.
That's just my guess :)

We are aware there might be some specifics in the ATR that affects recognition of the fuel tanks, we need to ask the developer ( since the airplane is encrypted, some things are not easy to figure it out ), if there is any change to our code required to recognize the ATR fuel system.

Ok, Thanks! Good to know that the problem is on the aircraft and not at our side.

So after multiple tries, just set the fuel to zero in the masses and centering of the MSFS bar, and the refueling truck will connect and start normally after choosing the fuel percentage.

Are you sure it's working? because I tried fuel stays at 0 at the end.

For me it works partially. The truck arrives and start refueling (what he never did before). But at the end there is no fuel in the plane - you have to set it up in the weight menu.

Why you are trying to make it work, after we confirmed it's something we need to clear up with the developer ? It's likely he'll do a proper GSX integration (he made it for the Aerosoft CRJ), at least that's the latest we heard.

I believe cooperation and communication with the plane developer is not easy.

How do you come to this statement?

May -> October. This shouldn't take that long if the cooperation was already in place. I'm sure they still have 0 contact.

This is of course wrong, and you shouldn't make assumptions on things you can't know. Have you even seen GSX release notes? Have you even noticed the PACE of updates? What does it tell you, other than that we have been extremely busy adding new features, so there wasn't any time left to dedicate to this?

And I'm sure the ATR developer is also very busy and the main issue with cooperating with other developers, is we need to BOTH find a tiny time window were we are free, to discuss these things.

But I assure you we have been in contact with Hans Hartmann, several times, so it's just wrong (and, frankly, a bit offensive), to imply we somewhat lied about it.
