« on: March 04, 2023, 02:57:54 pm »
Hello

I have gsx for msfs and since November update, it causes MSFS crash, Reinstalling it and reinstalling sim, same problem every time
if I used safe mode, sim is working
moreover, If I removed GSX from community, MSFS working easily and no CTDs

looking forward to your help

As clearly explained on the Sticky thread here:

https://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,26876.0.html

GSX simply cannot crash the sim and of course, if this problem really happened, since November, we would have the forum flooded by thousands of similar messages by now.

You said removing GSX "fixed" the problem but, have you tried removing everything else and leave just GSX instead ?

yes
only gsx was alone in community file when msfs crashed
other files are clear of conflict

I'm sorry, but I can only repeat and confirm GSX, alone, cannot crash the sim.

There might be remnants of other add-ons ( .dll wasm compiled files, for example ) that can, which resides in this folder:

MS Store version:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Packages

Steam version:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages

That might require being cleaned up first. Again, if GSX really crashed the sim, we would have heard it by now.
