FSDT not shown in AddOn Menu , P3D

Hello Developer,

Operating: Window 10
Platform: P3D v4
Product: GSX and GSX level 2 with Product Keys

I previously can use GSX with the above setup and it has been working very well with no issue. I was able to do all kinds of Ground Service, Push back, and Assignment of Airbridge outlook design and locations. 

Due some issues with my computer, I reformat my computer.

After formatting the computer and reinstalling P3D and related addon as usual, I was unable to local the FSDreamteam / GSX under the AddOn in the menu in P3D.

I have tried:
1) Download the " newer" verison of GSX bundle from FSDT website
2) Uninstall and reinstall the GSX
3) Update the C++
4) Deactivate and activate the GSX and GSX level 2 , in FSDT Universal Installer

I saw GSX is being installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager

I wonder if any steps I might have done wrong and missed.

Do you see the “Addon Manager” and the “GSX” menu under the “Addons” menu of the simulator ? If not, try this:

- Turn off the firewall

- Configure the antivirus to add the whole Add-on Manager folder to the antivirus Exclusions list.

- Download and install the new FSDT Universal Installer:

https://www.virtualisoftware.com/update/FSDT_Universal_Installer.exe

- Install it and use it to Update GSX and other FSDT products you might have.

If still doesn't work, try to RESTART Windows after installing the Universal Installer

unfortunately i don't see those under the Addons Menu.

I just performed the steps you mentioned in the reply post, the situation stays same.

Restarting windows does not work neither.

Any other ways I could try ?

Fact you don't have it under the Options->Add-ons menu in the sim seems the problem is not even a loading problem, it looks like you don't even have the add-on.xml in the Documents\Prepar3d V4 add-ons folder, or for some reason is not even being read.

Do you have this ?

If yes, do you see it listed in this file ?

It's added by the GSX installer, have you noticed any errors running it ?

Or, maybe your Documents folder is not there, and you enabled the option to have it on OneDrive ?

I don't see any errors during installation.

And not to my knowledge that there is an option to have it on OneDrive so I don't think I have enabled it.

With the previous numerous attempts of uninstallation and reinstallation, the processes are all smooth to me. The software was able to commence Update too.

If the installer couldn't add those files, which should be something basically impossible not being able to, something strange is going on with your system and, if those are missing, we cannot possibly know how many others might be.

And yes, there is an option to use OneDrive to store your Documents folder and it's being selected ( or not ) when you install Windows, which you said you just did so, maybe, you haven't paid attention to that. It's related to the kind of login you created, either local or with a Microsoft account and, I think by default if you use a Microsoft account to login, your Documents will be saved on OneDrive, unless you go there and disable them.

It might be possible the installer couldn't write ( likely a permission issue ) to OneDrive.

I think my situation is not related to the Onedrive.

because:

(1)I have another company addon being able to store in my Documents folder.
(2)I double check that i did not use OneDrive service.

(2)add-on.xml file

But I can't find neither of them. I wonder where the installer store them too.

Here, of course:

Nowhere in the years GSX has been out we ever heard anybody having the installer failing to create these except, as I've said, some very rare case related to the Documents folder being moved to OneDrive, which is why I suggested it.

That's also why I asked if you had any errors running the installer, because other than the installer being interrupted/blocked (antivirus might caused this), I can't think any other reason why it couldn't create the add-on.xml in the Documents folder.
