Gsx stuck when adjusting parking position
« on: March 04, 2023, 09:47:09 pm »
Gsx does nothing when using adjusting parking position .
So when I open the menu adjust parking position , I select the gate
And then I try as example the vehicle positions , the moment I press this button
The explanation of the keys gets on the screen , I push ok and then there happens nothing .
When I tried opening the menu , it stays loading ….
What I tried so far :
Deleted folder virtuali in app data folder and program data
Uninstal gsx
Uninstal fsdt live update
Download newest version of fsdt live updater
Re install gsx
Exclude 3th Partie scenery
But the problem stays the same

I tried this 3 times with no luck .

Any other suggestions

I have the just sim EBBR scenery
But I tried it also on the standard GCLP airport as example

If you really did exactly what you just wrote, it's normal nothing happened, since you did nothing. The ENTER ( not Ok ) key is used to exit from the editor but, it doesn't seem, according to your report, you did anything with the editor so, you just entered it and exited it.

When you exited it, it would return to the 2d editor dialog window and, while that is open, the GSX menu will always show "Loading", because you can't use GSX while you are editing stuff. So, perhaps, the window might have been gone behind the simulator window and you haven't noticed it, so you assumed the program was stuck, when in fact was just waiting you to exit from the editor dialog window.

Try editing the parking in windowed mode, not full screen, so it will be more obvious ( even with the help of the taskbar icons ), which windows are open.

That was clearly not the problem.
There was nothing running at the background .

then it's possible an error might have happened while editing, so you should enable logging in the Troubleshooting section of the GSX Settings, and post your log ZIPPED and ATTACHED to a post.

Be sure the log is posted after you see the problem happening.

That log, which is not the complete log ( likely because you haven't enabled logging in the Troubleshooting section of the GSX Settings ), but it's the shorter panic log ( that's why it's called .ERR ), doesn't seem to come from the session in which you edited the parking, which is what I've asked, it seems from a normal session of using GSX.

If you enabled logging, you should have a Couatl.LOG, so that's what you need to send. However, since each time you restart GSX, a new log will overwrite the previous one, you need to send the one after the problem with the program apparently frozen happens.
