GSX Pro has to many conflicts with surrounding scenery
« on: January 20, 2023, 12:13:41 am »

Vehicles like busses park in the middle of lantarns or like this picture the passenger bus parked above a static vehicle on EHRD parking 1C.
The Crew bus on the other hand parked nicely next to this vehicle.

I'll copy here the answer you already got on the MSFS forum:

the problem is not GSX, of course, the problem is that lamp post shouldn’t be in the middle of a vehicle road!

Now, whether this is a mistake in the scenery, or a conflict with another scenery, I cannot possibly know but, clearly, that lamp post shouldn’t be there and, even if you didn’t use GSX, the small service car would have crashed into it.

The reason why the bus is floating, is because the ground altitude there has been altered by the presence of the car crash bounding box and, considering you said that car is a static vehicle, if this is the case, I wonder what would be the reasoning of placing a static car on a vehicle road, near a lamp post that shouldn't even be there.

Look a little bit further.

The car stands on the dropoff area, before that area there is the pedestrian area and before that there is the road.
The bus stops in the dropoff area and not on the road.

So the problem is the position where the bus stops.
Here is a better picture of the situation at EHRD airport.

Your new image is clearly not the same place of the first one you posted, which clearly indicated several problems in the scenery, like:

- in your first image, you had a lamp post in the middle of the road.

- in your first image, you had an airport static car in the middle of the pedestrian road, which caused the GSX bus to raise due to its own crash box.

Your latest screen is clearly not the same area, because it doesn't show anything like that, but it also doesn't show anything from GSX that would indicate what your problem is.

In general, the position where the GSX bus is parked, cannot be customized, because it's calculated from the airplane wingtips. It's possible we might add the ability in the future to customized the bus position on problematic parking spots but, again, it would have been best if you posted what the problem is in this different area.
