Parking Brake
« on: February 14, 2023, 11:31:11 am »
So after going through the start up procedure everything goes as it should.  However, when request push and start this is where my problem lies.

Ground says everything good hooks up bypass pin but when they request 'Release Parking Brake' nothing happens.  I have even tried setting a keybind thinking it could be fault with my TCA thrustmaster controls but still nothing.  The brake knob on flight moves but nothing happens.  I have tried this without GSX Pro and works great just not through the GSX.

I have just tried this with the new update this morning as well and still nothing

You don't say which airplane you are using.

I mainly use the FBW320 but this also happens on the PMDG 737

The FBW A320 parking brakes test has been fixed in yesterday's update, so you need to update and be sure you are not using a custom profile for it which might still contain the old custom parking brakes expression.

Nobody ever reported this problem with the PMDG 737 but, of course, it's difficult to say without knowing if you are using a custom profile for it that might have set the custom parking brake variable wrong for some reason so, even in this case, be sure you are using the GSX internal data, which is the only one we can assure works.

Update GSX first, and be sure you are using the GSX own internal data, which can be done by checking the airplane configuration window. If it's not saying "GSX internal data", press the RESET button and restart GSX.

No, it's not, that's why I said:

To make it more clear: the line that matters is the 2nd one, the one that says "Aircraft data used by GSX", which indicates where GSX is taking data from, the previous lines, indicate the available sources but, because of the priority system works, since you do have a custom profile, GSX will use that by preference.

Of course, I assume you already ran the FSDT Update first.

You don't have to change anything, as I've said in my previous replies, just press the RESET button, which does exactly what you need to to: remove your custom profile, so GSX will use its own Internal data.

What "saying the same" ? The airplane configuration page is still saying it's using your custom profile ? That's just because you haven't done what I said:

- press the RESET button

- and restart GSX.
