Refresh VDGS without restarting Couatl?
« on: January 10, 2023, 05:39:47 pm »
Hello,

Just tried some GSX profiles (loving the VDGS).

Just one question, during a turnaround or simply when changing the Simbrief flight plan, we must restart Couatl to update the VDGS screen?

I tried "reload Simbrief", the flight plan is retrieved and become green but the VDGS screen doesn't change.

Thanks.

Not all VDGS actually show anything apart when you're parking.
So if you're talking about the VDGS showing the gate number, flight number, departure time etc, it's just on very few of the VDGS.

Usually you don't need to restart Couatl for it to show up.

For example, when I change my Simbrief flight plan while still at the gate, even after reloading it in GSX, the VDGS screen doesn't update with the new flight data (flight number, ETD, etc). I need to restart Couatl to update the screen with the new flight. Same thing during a turnaround without going back to the MSFS menu.
