FBW A380X - Defueling bug

When defueling the FBW A380X for a shorter route, upon completion, the fuel truck gets stuck and refuses to disconnect and leave. I tried boarding pax to try to force it to leave, but no dice. I tried requesting push-back to force it to leave, no dice.

I didn't think it was even possible to de-fuel using GSX.

Yeah, when loading the new flight plan into the A380X EFB, if there is more fuel than necessary, clicking the button on the EFB to refuel will automatically defuel the aircraft, since GSX requires us to use the EFB for fueling due to the way the A380X is set up

GSX doesn't recognize Defueling, but it's a planned feature, with proper messages, etc.

Keep in mind that in the real world, you wouldn't typically de-fuel the aircraft since that causes a lot of kerfuffles. First of all, that fuel can't be put back in the fuel farm as that fuel would be considered contaminated. Secondly, they would have to find an empty fuel truck to load the fuel into, and that takes a fuel truck out of service until another aircraft from that carrier arrives and needs to be refueled, in which case it would be loaded onto that aircraft. Overall, it becomes a logistical nightmare for the ground handling and/or fuel company, and they would have some not so nice things to say. Additionally, such an action could cause a significant delay for the flight.

Of course, it's done *very* rarely, that's why GSX doesn't support it, and works on the normal assumption that, in 99% of the cases, if you call a Fuel truck, it's because you need more fuel, not less. But if somebody does in fact call the GSX Fuel truck with more fuel than planned, GSX should at least play along with it.

I'm not disputing that, I was more so responding to him since the way he worded his post made it sound like he did this routinely, and de-fueling the aircraft is far from routine.
