Viewing distance of objects (increase)

Hi, love your app,

I will be posting screenshot of the pushback tug dispearing from the view due to distance i think the only thing i see then is the yellow towbar being push around.

Maybe we can increase the viewing distance or LOD?
Ps: will add screenshot as soon as i can.

Yes, it could be increased, but we followed the LOD guidelines from Asobo using the SDK LOD tools that suggest which values to use. It has been said ( even if it's not yet enforced ), that add-ons not complaining with it would have their objects automatically removed in case of low-memory situations, so we try to stick to the rules.

Same for me
It disappear on the pushback is terminated, so very close to the cockpit view
It make a strange effect like a bug

That’s really immersion killing, when doing a walk around and suddenly the pushback tug disappears. Never saw anything like that in all those years.

You never seen anything like this in years because:

- other developers don't really pay attention to LODs, because users don't like them, even if they are a necessary evil to keep performances up and prevent possible CTD

- adding LODs and tuning them takes time.

- other simulators never had a strategy to automatically remove objects that don't comply with the LOD standards

- other simulators never had a proper LOD diagnostic tool indicating exactly how LODs should be set to be considered compliant.

So yes, we might tweak and improve some individual objects, but LOD are here to stay, and they'll be more and more important, the more addons are used a the same time.

That might be all true Umberto, but it was like what I see in real life. What I see now, is very awkward and not nice. Maybe there are reasons for it, but there is a lot of room for improving in my opinion.
