When I run the update, the popup show performing step 1 of 37 - GSX Pro, indicates it is updating GSX World, never gets past 2% then the update goes away. Any thoughts on this
This has been discussed so many times on the forum and yes, it's completely normal because:
- The updater is not made to update just GSX, but ALL FSDT products, for FSX, P3D and MSFS so, unless you have ALL of them installed at the same time, you will never see all steps being performed. Having only GSX Pro for MSFS, means only step 1 of 37 will be performed, that is GSX Pro.
- When there's nothing to update, the program will automatically quit, if you ran it from the "Updater" interface. If you use the "Installer" interface ( the program is exactly the same, just with two interfaces depending on the icon you used to start it ), it won't do anything automatically and will not quit at the end.
- Since the "Updater" interface will quit when there's nothing left to do, it's possible the percentage readout might not get a chance to be updated, that's not a problem, what matters is what you see in the message area below. If nothing new is downloaded, you are all fine and you have the latest version.
