Marshaller doing all his/her moves
« on: September 30, 2022, 11:40:15 pm »
So I now hade this three times, where after I parked, the marshaller started slowly doing one full set of all his moves/animations.
I don't know if this is some debug mode or test run triggered somehow, just wanted to let you know.

See a video here:

That looks like an error happened, if you have logging enabled, please post the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\couatl.log file when this happens.

Ok, I will.
So far, it only happened with girls on the ladder, but I don't know if that tells you something or if it's just a coincident....

Just happened again, dude on the ground this time.

How can I enable logging to help you identify this error?

Just enabled logging in the Settings and post a log made immediately after it happens, just be sure you don't restart it, otherwise the previous log will be overwritten.

So here's the last bit of the log when it happened again today:

These lines in the log:

GSX SimStop
Stopping Application...
Connection with Microsoft Flight Simulator lost (has it crashed?)
Stopping Application...
disconnected from SimConnect.

Seems to indicate that, for some reason, MSFS stopped the Simconnect connection with GSX, which GSX detected as if the sim crashed, so it closed itself as well. Which other add-ons you have that use Simconnect ? FSUIPC or vPilot perhaps ? Some users reported with several add-ons connecting at the same time, the sim might break the connection.

Could‘t that just be the sim closing (I quit after that incident)…?
Not sure GSX really crashes or looses connection, because even when the marshaller is „doing tai chi“, I can still use it, deboard, call services etc.

(For the record I do have FSUIPC runnning)

Try without it.

So it happened again today (LICJ) without using FSUIPC.
No idea what‘s causing it, but it SEEMS to be triggered when I‘m very close to the perfect stoping point (moving very slow the last few centimeters). Masbe it should show the „dance of joy“ but instead plays the wrong animations or something?

Anyway, since it‘s not disrupting any GSX services, I‘ll just ignore it…

Just FYI, this keeps happening (4 out of 5 times).

In case it is of any help, another video below showing also the parking process. The "slow-motion-animations-showcase" starts after I stopped, and it apparently ends as soon as I bring up the GSX window again....
Log also below.

Please do not post the log inside a message, because I need to look at the *actual* log file, not some edited/translated/changed by the forum software version.

Always ZIP the log and ATTACH it to a post.

So I'm almost always able to trigger this "error" by moving very slowly towards the marshaller and stop very very close to the point where he will cross his signs/lamps.

log attached.

I've seen this too sometimes. It seems like it happens when to stop JUST short of the GSX target and GSX doesn't register that the final stop has been reached so to speak.
