flightsim.to profiles

Sure this has been asked before, i did read the manual but didnt answer my question or i didn't understand it/

if i follow the instruction to download a profile at flightsim.to :-

To install, unzip, drag and drop the file into the following folder: User > "your username" > Appdata > Roaming > Virtuali > GSX > MSFS

will this work?

i have previously opened the editor and then closed it to make a file of my own and then copied the text from the flightsim.to into my file.  is that necessary or will simply dropping the file work?

 For airports you should just drop the file in that location..

For aircraft the location is a little different:

User > "your username" > Appdata > Roaming > Virtuali > Airplanes > "Correct Name of Aircraft"

,, that one you might want to save a config first as you suggested so it creates the correctly name subfolder (if the flightsim.to addon hasn't got it)
