Options not supported in MSFS should be removed
« on: October 09, 2022, 12:03:02 am »
I think there are some options listed that are only applicable to the FSX/p3d version, e.g. cameras, estimate passenger numbers etc. according to the manual and these don't seem to do anything even though they are still presented in the options pane.

These should be removed to avoid confusion.

Thanks.

We are still hoping Asobo will add a Camera API, which is a feature requested by lots of developers.

We all hope things get changed in the future. But the request to omit unsupported features from the settings based on the current feature set is still valid.

Since it doesn't make any difference to the actual program operation, and the manual indicates they are not relevant to MSFS so no, it's not really required.

It could conceivably lead to confusion though with users not sure whether checking the box has done anything or not. The information in the manual is only brief - it's common sense really to remove redundant options.

Many thanks.

But since no harm will happen regardless if that option is used or not, and their no-effect IS documented, removing them "just" to prevent possible confusion for those that don't read the manual ( we *want* users reading the manual, there are FAR WORSE outcomes that will happen to those that don't ), it's not really a priority right now.
