All,
New guy here ... been flying Dino's T-45 ... enjoy it!!
Have a few questions about it ... looks like you folks are experienced with the T-45.
1. Dino's published approach speeds don't match up to what I get when I'm flying on-speed using the HUD flight path symbol and AOA bracket. I'm around 100-105 knots. Official Navy flight pubs and Dino's gouge show on speed 115-120 knots. Even with speed brakes out ... although this shouldn't change on speed. Any thoughts?
2. The angle of attack gauge is incorrect for on-speed. Dino is correct that the on-speed AOA is approx 9 degrees which shows on the gauge. However in the old style gauges, 'units' is the measure of AOA and the gauge and markings are calibrated such. Standard Navy gouge is that on speed for any aircraft has the needle pointing to 3 o'clock. (explanation of units vs degrees too long for a short post). Admittedly a small point since most flying is done on the HUD.
3. I see in an earlier post a field version of the fresnel lens for FCLPs. Is that available as payware/freeware?
Thanks
