Aircraft deicing by GSX
« on: October 04, 2022, 10:40:37 pm »
We are approaching the winter season again, so I remembered the time of FSX, when it was part of the de-icing of planes. I just have a question, will this function be available in the future? When I look at the GSX table inside, I see that other functions than this will come soon, so I would be interested. Windows, engines when I flew through the clouds, somehow it disappeared after the update MSFS, or not? But I have de-icing turned on in the MSFS settings, so I don't understand..only a general question. Thank you.

GSX supports de-icing, which should be abundantly clear both looking at the website page, showing de-icers screenshots, but also by reading the manual, at Page 25, when De-icing is explained.

Note that, the only thing GSX De-icing does, is to automatically turn on the standard de-icing system in the sim because, as many things related to weather in general, there's nothing in the SDK that allows to control the MSFS icing simulation programmatically.
