VDGS at 3rd party airports?

Hey guys,

I am not able to get the VDGS to work, for example at EDLP Paderporn airport. The VDGS shows black screens all the time. My Simbrief Profile is linked, the menu says "simbrief OK". Does the VDGS System work at all with 3rd party airports? Or do I have to manually replace them?

Are you referring to the VGDS that come with the scenery ?

GSX is not supposed to change any 3rd party scenery automatically, not with jetways ( which should instead be excluded from replacement at 3rd party airports ), and not with VGDS or any other parking systems. To use a GSX VGDS on a 3rd party scenery, you must place it manually, but it won't remove the one in the scenery, so it will be added to it.

Oh my fault - I thought GSX will automatically replace the VDGS which comes with the 3rd party scenery. nevermind

Ah, thats unfortunate. I was looking for a GSX VDGS that has only the text part (invisible box) to put upon the non functional scenery ones.

We already thought about that, and it's something we can add.

Most community profiles just stick the GSX VDGS model on top of the scenery-provided ones, you almost won't notice it except looking up close from the side.
That's currently the best approach and it works pretty well
