GSX okay at Flightbeam KSFO but not at FSDT KORDV2

P3D v5.3 HF2 running Couatl v4.0 (build 4642)

At FSDT KORDv2 when positioned at several gates selecting the GSX Menu displays the "this parking is isolated" message. No facilities are available. Gates tested were C2, C31 and C3. All three had different parking position values. See attached document for details. Gate C2 info is attached.

Switching to FlightBeam KSFO and positioning at D53 and D55 shows the menu options. No problems. Again, gate details attached for D55.

I am also attaching the log as couatl.txt for info.

I appreciate I'm not on the latest version but if you can get the menu to display at this KORD gate using my supplied gate data I will update. This problem may be data in the ini file or in the program itself. Finding out which is key.

First option - delete the KORD ini file in the app data virtuali folder. Restart and let the scenery config run again - you should now have all the gates. Worked for me but there are other options on the forum if necessary.

FOD, I will try that but first I wanted to post my results at all my other FSDT / Flightbeam airports.

No problems at any which include PHNL, KDFW, KIAH, KJFK, KLAS, KLAX, KSDF, LSGG and LSZH.

This leads me to believe the problem lies with the gate info in the KORD ini file I'm using.

Back shortly after renaming the KORD ini and seeing what happens.

I renamed the KORD ini in appdata\roaming\virtuali\GSX and restarted P3D. Looking at the GSX Custom aircraft positions I'm definitely picking up the default AFCAD - KORD_ADEX_FSDT.bgl.

Selecting the GSX menu still causes "parking is isolated" message to appear. Bizarre. Log attached.

I opened KORD_ADEX_FSDT.bgl with ADE and ran the Find Faults feature. It identified 4 Altitude problems but everything else was fine. I'm attaching it so Umberto or anyone else can test it and see if they get similar results to me.

I assume I'm running the latest version of the airport. Addon Manager doesn't show any version numbers.

I compared my custom ini for KORD with the default generated by GSX and stored in

AddonManager\FSDreamteam\KORDV2\scenery.

There is only one difference suggesting I am using the supplied KORD ini and not one from another source. There is an extra entry in the default named usercustomized=1 in each gate section.

Other than that they are identical. Hope you can work out what the problem is Umberto.

Looking at the exe installer I downloaded it's named kordv2_p3dv4_setup.exe dated 01./12/2019 version 1.2.0.0

Is that the latest version?

I totally reinstalled my FSDT addons this morning Ray.

kordv2_p3dv4_setup.exe is 1.5.1.0

Although as I posted previously I have not had an issue with isolated parking at KORD. This only occurs at LSGG & KMEM even with the clean install, the posted fix of 'parkingsystem =' corrects the problem.

Please clarify, are you saying if you use the stock GSX .INI that comes with KORD, it all works, but if you use your custom one, it shows some parking as Isolated ?

Hi Stephen. Many thanks for that. I’m clearly running an older version. I shall download 1.5 tomorrow and install after uninstalling the existing one. If that solves the isolated parking problem at KORD that could be it for me. I haven’t encountered isolated parking issues at other airports but haven’t checked all..

I don’t have KMEM but if you give me a gate number at LSGG I’ll try that. What version of Couatl are you running? Later than mine I guess.

Umberto, just read your question. No, the problem still exists even with the default GSX one. But that is the same as my custom one so even though I have a “custom” one it’s one and the same.

Regardless how old your installer was, running the Live Update should always get you the latest version.

I appreciate that but I hope you can understand my concerns updating GSX with others still reporting issues when I have none bar KORD. Being the cautious type I’ll install KORD and report back tomorrow. Thanks Umberto in what must be a pretty dreadful time for you.

Umberto, I last chose to update around 3-4 weeks ago. If you’re saying doing that updates all installed airports then that suggests my KORD is up to date.

So I doubt installing from the 1.5 download is going to change anything. I supplied the logs earlier today. Did those show where the problem lies at KORD? If they didn’t what is the point of the log?

I bit the bullet and ran Live Update this morning. Located to KORD and I'm pleased to report the "isolated parking" issue is resolved. Checking a few other FSDT airports was fine.

However, I see others have reported problems at FB's KDEN and I have that too. Just one parking position available. I have reported this on the KDEN topic. Log attached.

We found the problem, and it's fixed with the current Live Update.
