Window Exit Doors Opening

Hi, why would the window emergency doors open during the boarding process?

This has happened to both the 700 and the 800. When I choose boarding those window exits open.

Did you request catering before?  This just happened to me after requesting catering first, and then boarding.

It doesn't open the cargo doors but the emergency windows on the left side of the plane.

I can reproduce this.

1. Reposition airplane.
2. (Not sure if needed, but I do it out of habit) Power the plane
3. Call for catering.
4. Request boarding. When the loaders drive up, the emergency windows on the left side open up.

I think it's the state of the plane that throws GSX off and it opens the wrong doors. I don't know how GSX handles doors of the PMDG plane. But I think that's where the problem is.

First, check if GSX is using its internal configuration *only* in the airplane configuration editor.

I am certain that it does. I uninstalled GSX and removed all associated folders and then reinstalled it and manually updated it yesterday. I have not touched any airplane editing at all.

I, too, can reproduce this - been happening for a few days. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, which is the weird thing for me.

It's probably related to calling Catering and Boarding/Deboarding at the same time, which happens with the "Automatic servicing" option enabled.

We'll probably need to make some checks to prevent both services trying to open both doors at the same time, but in the meantime it should be fixed if you call Catering separately and then Boarding/Deboarding later. Automatic servicing is always a bit more unpredictable that calling services manually.

Ok, seems to happen when the baggage loaders are started for loading the bags, thats when the main door automatically closes and then the rear door opens and the emergency wing doors open on the left side of the plane. I did update GSX just to make sure before starting the sim. Its like the belt loads are set to open the rear and emergency doors instead of the belly cargo doors.
