how to adjust the top of the embedded stairs

I have a  plane with two stairs (embedded) and had a problem with the avatar getting to the top of the stairs and briefly  turning around before entering the door. I managed to adjust the first stairs and fixed the problem but cannot get the rear stairs to eliminate it.

I am not sure what I did the fix the first stairs problem but I adjusted the door entrance and the top of the stairs until it was fixed. There seems to be a way between these two adjustments to get the avatar to walk up the stairs and to straight into the door without any hesitation.

You problem need to have the top position not too close to the door position, if they are too close, there might be some kind of reversing.
