The only thing I haven't done is a VPN. I'll download one and give that a try. It's frustrating though as I have never had this issue before and still have the same ISP as always. I also have 1gbps speed and this is the only thing I've ever faced this slow download issue with. I'll report back to see if the vpn helps.

Update: The VPN did the trick. Guess I'll keep that around for when it's time to update GSX!

September 27, version 3.1.8 is the latest OFFLINE installer published. Now, today, we are with 3.2.0 and still no more update ?!?

Can we be informed if this OFFLINE installer feature has been abandoned ?

No, it's not, it's just the latest notification on this forum, the offline installer itself is updated to 3.2.0.

Sorry, but you are wrong !

I know that since long, that the message in this thread, do not reflect what the version is really, This is why I always download the file and check it. I just do it now and the file is still the version 3.1.8. See the attached picture:

That picture doesn't prove the file you compared is the one you downloaded. I can only repeat and confirm that, until today, the Offline installer was version 3.2.0. Today is 3.2.1

Yes, sorry, but YOU WERE WRONG  >:(

My 2 pictures fully prove that I said the truth:

1st picture show the downloaded file of the day I made the message (the 16.10.2024). You can read the file size and the date of its download and see that they are IDENTICAL to my archived initial downloaded file, of the 28.09.2024 ! 2nd picture is a run of this file, where you can see that, at that date, we still had version 3.1.8 !!!

I am not a liar nor a dishonnest person, trying to prove you were wrong, to harm you when it wouldn't be the case, using falsified documents. I only wanted to help you by reporting a problem. I hope that you will at least have the elegance to apologize now.

Next time, just say that now everything is OK and avoid to to deny a real evidence.

Hello,
joining the conversation just to ask if it's possible in VR to have the pushback pop-up messages enabled.
For example, after requesting pushback, I don't get the pushback options (LEFT, RIGHT, STRAIGHT etc.). To see the options I have to wait that the truck connection animation is finished and then select "Continue Pushback" from the general menu.
In normal screen, the options are shown automatically.
Thank you

No, I wasn't, regardless which color you use to say it.

You are now calling ME "a liar", when I never said you were.

I guess you must have just copied a file you downloaded earlier in that folder, so it got a more recent file date, no way I was suggesting you faked it. That doesn't mean the offline installer we had online wasn't updated, because it was, and before replying to you I checked it again, and it WAS 3.2.0.

Umberto,

I certify to you that, the 9 october 2024, just before to write to you my first message with the question if the feature was abandoned, I have downloaded the file to check and it was still the old version 3.1.8, like all days before since the 28 september 2024. Moreover, after your answer of the 15 october 2024, the 16 october, before to answer, I have checked again, using, like always, this link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/fqi00a0noyhcjgm/Addon_Manager.exe/file and I CERTIFY it was still the same old version 3.1.8 you can see on the picture and it was this file I executed to obtain the 2nd picture.

By saying I HAVE INTENTIONALY TRIED TO FOOL YOU, BY COPYING AN OLD VERSION OF THIS FILE, TO OBTAIN A FAKE VERSION WITH AN OTHER DATE IS REALLY DISGUSTING AND DEFAMATORY and also, why you say:

Please, read a bit more carefully, I never said that, I said:
I am not a liar nor a dishonnest person, trying to prove you were wrong, to harm you !
So, I was speaking of ME, NOT YOU

Assuming you also, are NOT a liar nor a dishonnest person, please, search elsewhere, why we both had different file version. A server problem ? A proxy problem ? You have the answer, not me.

for me this stupid controversy which should never have happened is closed.

EDIT:
By the way, please answer to this message:

Except I NEVER said that. I said exactly the opposite:

A server problem ? A proxy problem ? You have the answer, not me.

The reason why the Offline installer exists is just to make sure that server problems, cloudflare replication problems or proxy issues will give you a change to get at least the last version of the core GSX code. And the reason why is hosted on Box.com and Mediafire, is to prevent that, if those issues were happening on OUR SITE, they won't affect the Offline installer at least.

So yes, this leaves us with two possible explanations:

- Mediafire supplied you with an older version for some reason.

- Your browser played a trick on you and downloaded an older version from its cache.

- You copied an older file WITHOUT REALIZING. I'll repeat it again: this means the OPPOSITE of accusing you of "lying" or "faking it".

You play with words, !

After having explained to you in details what I have done, with proof on print screens, you come to say that I have copied this file and it is why it has a more recent date, whereas by carefully examining my print screens, you should have seen that this was not the case at all !!!

Therefore, here again, YOU ARE WRONG ! You should know that copying a file in Windows system, almost with Total Commander tool, DOES NOT LOOSE ITS DATE, EVEN IF YOU CHANGE ITS NAME. See the included screenshot proof.

I'm not, it's you that ignored by continuous clarification that I was fully convinced you were honest and it was abundantly clear I never accused you of faking anything.

I wasn't, regardless how much times you repeat it.

First, Windows has 3 different dates for a file, so what you show (back then when you said the file was outdated) didn't tell much. You should have used the date of the Digital Signature instead, but that would only tell YOU got an outdated file for some reason, not the file wasn't updated on Box or Mediafiire, because it was.

As I've said already, copying an older version of the file was just ONE of the SEVERAL issues that might have happened which mislead you assuming the Offline installer wasn't kept updated ( it was ), with the possible chance of your browser serving you an outdated version for some reason.

So, again, the Offline installer was ALWAYS updated, the only thing we were behind were the Sticky post with the changelogs, not the file itself.
