737-900
« on: February 13, 2023, 07:13:10 pm »
Today there was an update to 2.2.4. But I did not notice anything new in relation to the 737-900. Or this update did not affect him?

You haven't read the release notes carefully enough then.

Why can't you answer properly? Just answer the question. Should I read the entire manual again? I asked a search in it, but I did not find anything about 737-900. What should I have seen?

My reply answered the question perfectly fine, since the release notes contained what you asked.

Now you should have read my previous reply more carefully, which said to check the release notes, nothing in it about "reading the entire manual again".  If you just followed what I wrote, that is checking the "Release Notes" more carefully, I'm sure you'll find the 737-900 there...

I'll post a link for you, even if they can of course reached by clicking "Release Notes" button in the FSDT Updater, which will open this page:

Umberto, I assume we should delete the 737-900 profiles that were floating around before this update, yes?

It depends how they were made, but I couldn't possibly know that.

- If they were made to "just" set the door locations, they should be removed, because they would likely miss all the custom variables for the doors so, unless who made it decided to ignore all door status (which might be a quick way to solve that), they wouldn't work very well.

- If they were made in the "proper" way, meaning copying an existing working profile for another PMDG 737 variant ( let's say the -800 ), with door's positions adapted to the airplane different size, it shouldn't make much difference with the internal profile.

I haven't been using GSX with the -900 since it was released other than calling and releasing the jetway, so I never had any custom profile. Tonight, after updating GSX, the door positions all line up properly, but GSX is no longer operating the doors for the aircraft. I have to do so myself through the plane's FMC. Is this expected?

Already fixed in today's update.
