GSX_Couatl_Scripting_ISSUE
« on: May 28, 2022, 09:29:54 pm »
Dear,

I don't know what I've done wrong here, I'm installing all my sceneries like I'm doing it the same way I always do... except now when activating my FSDT products it says:
"The Couatl scripting engine hasn't started. This is usually caused by an antivirus that has blocked it. To fix this problem: Exit from the simulator. Configure the Antivirus and add the Addon Manager folder to the antivirus Exclusion list. Launch the FSDT Live Update or reinstall the software".

I added them to the exclusion list and ran the FSDT Live Updater I even reinstalled it, same issue... please what's going on here?

The reason why we have a STICKY thread, which is at the very top of this section of the forum, aptly named with an unmistakable subject:

GSX Couatl scripting engine hasn't started **SOLVED**

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,25999.0.html

Is to prevent users from posting the same questions over and over, especially considering that above thread already had the solution that worked for most users in the FIRST REPLY. Quoting from it:

As discussed in so many other posts about this, your problem is surely caused by the antivirus.

Some users reported success using the new FSDT Universal installer that has been posted on the NEWS section of the Home page.

Install the Universal Installer, start it with the "FSDT Installer" icon from the Desktop, and use it to update all products.
