B737-800 BCF stairs
« on: July 19, 2021, 12:54:49 am »
Hi,

Whenever I get stairs for the front door of the aircraft (PMDG B737-800 BCF), the stairs model used are for the larger widebody aircraft and are unrealistic (they look too large and made for a higher door level). Is there a way to preset a different type of stairs (smaller - more realistic) to be associated with the B738 BCF?

Thanks.

Christian C.

Are you sure you are looking at passenger stairs and not Cargo stairs instead, which are those you are supposed to see since, by default ( unless you changed it ), the configuration for the PMDG 737-800 BCF has the plane flagged as Cargo ?

Cargo stairs but the model pre-selected is way to large for the B737 (it is really meant for the B747 and B777 aircraft that are much higher). Is there a way to select a smaller cargo stair to work with the B738 BCF?.

That's the only cargo stair we have because, until now, most of the popular cargo airplanes in use are fairly large. We'll have to add a different model.

Understood, I hope you release another type of stair at some point although I recall there were other cargo stairs models available in the past?.

Yes, but users complained they were too small, and looked more like a ladder, so we listened, and made a "proper" cargo stair.
