All our products share one single folder for themselves, regardless how many simulators you use, which by default is located under C:\Program Files\Addon Manager, but you can choose any drive or folder you like.
However, when you install a new simulator, you'll still have to run the FSDT installers again, because it will have to activate the add-on in the sim, and possibly make small changes to the configuration depending on the simulators used. Running any FSDT installer, will automatically install everything in the same folder you chose the first time, so there's no risk of unneeded data duplication: the installer won't let you install two copies of any of our add-ons in two different folders.
After you enabled the products in the newly installed simulator ( by running their installers ), you'll run the FSDT Live Updater when needed, which will keep all your FSDT products updated, regardless how many simulators you use.
Basically:
- All FSDT products can be installed on any drive/folder, they are never installed "into" the sim.
- All FSDT products MUST stay together. The installers will enforce this, by let you chose a folder freely only the FIRST time you run any FSDT installer, regardless of the simulator.
- No data is ever duplicated, no disk space is wasted, regardless how many simulators you use
- All updates are made in a single step, regardless how many simulators you use.
If for any reason you want to change the FSDT installation folder you chose originally, you must uninstall ALL your FSDT products, and reply Yes to the question Do you want to remove the Addon Manager which is made during the Uninstall process.
After you remove all products this way, you can reinstall them anywhere you like, because on the first reinstall, you will be now asked again for a destination folder for all FSDT product, which can be on any drive/folder, completely unrelated to where your simulator(s) are installed and how many of them you use.
