Hi FSDT.  So i have a small bug going on with the refueling service.  This only happens with gates with stairs only.  I request fueling, stairs pull away, fuel truck comes and does its service, then after leaving, the menu still says the fuel truck is in position and i cant operate the stairs.  Doesnt matter which side the refuel/defuel panel is on.  Any way to fix it, or going to be fixed in a future update?

Also, is it possible to edit it so the stairs dont have to leave while refueling, or is it a limitation with GSX?  My employer's policy is we cant refuel unless there is stairs or a jetway attached for an escape route encase of fire.

Please clarify what do you mean with "gates with stairs only". A gate usually has a jetway, unless you really meant "any" parking spot that has no jetway, so it use only stairs.

Also, it's not clear from your message:

- if you are using automatic servicing in GSX or not.

- if you are calling the fuel yourself, or it's the airplane ( some 3rd party planes can control GSX on their own ).

- if you are using an airplane that has been flagged to use its own custom fuel system. If yes, if you followed the correct procedure in this case.

Im not using automatic services, i call all the services.  As for the parking, its a "stand" with no jetway....  Im using a SkySpirit Boeing 767-300F cargo freeware model.  This model doesnt have a custom fuel system, it uses the default fuel system in P3Dv4.

The reason why stairs are removed when refueling, is because they would conflict with the refueler vehicle, if the refueling is done on the right side. I *think* if you reverse the fuel position and refuel from the right, it won't retract the stairs.

ok il try that.  Im just used to fueling widebodies on the left side to give the ground crew a bit more room with the k-loaders and such....  But i also dont see how it would conflict with the stairs since its a 767-300....  I'll report my findings once i get home from work.

It works on the right side.  Is this hardcoded into the program or can i change it somehow via a cfg file?

It works on the right side

It worked on the left as well. It's just you didn't like the fact jetways retracted to make space for the fuel truck, but that wasn't of course a "bug", it's clearly made intentionally to prevent a conflict on mid/small size planes.

You can't change it.
