Issue with gate numbers
« on: December 15, 2020, 11:37:45 pm »
Hello! So pretty much for KBOS in FSX (fly tampa scenery) many gates are given the same number (multiple B23's 2 A9's ect). this causes GSX to reset all jetways to one of the gates with that number. is there any known way to fix this?

Best, CTLR

Two gates with exactly the same name and number are a problem in the scenery that should be fixed in the AFCAD.

FSX unfortunately is not very flexible ( MSFS 2020 improved it a bit, by allowing a secondary name for gates ) with gate naming so, for example, things like this:

- Terminal 1 Gate 23B
- Terminal 2 Gate 23B

Are not normally possible, but naming two gates exactly the same as a workaround shouldn't be done and, in fact, scenery developers usually come with naming convention to differentiate the gates without causing duplicates so, the above situation might have been fixed by naming the two gates this way:

- GATE_B number 123 ( all gates at Terminal 1 adding 100 )
- GATE_B number 223 ( all gates at Terminal 1 adding 200 )
