How can we change the (Default) F/A-18's HUD color (colour) in the VC?

I saw that in the beta, I'm not sure you can with the final version.

James...

Good question.  You think it would be easy like the KBT SH HUD you have shown, but who knows.  It seems modding anything that is "hardwired" into the default Hornet is very hard to change.  Think bout the workarounds weve had to go thru to get the "new HUD" or the brute force workaround for full-deflected flaps (45 trailing edge) at the correct landing airspeeds.

Good luck in your quest.  BTW, looking at your HUD pic, do you use TrackIR?  Just wondering as your HUD seems non-conformal to the actual horizon in that pic.  Also, IF you do indeed use TrackIR, what are your results with it?  Do you like it?

mhh....the default one ( meaning, "our" gauge... ) would be quite difficult, because it's all C++ compiled code, the only way to do it, would be hacking the gauge itself...

What?

Unless you're referring to the PLAT camera information, the HUD is still green.

Virtual,
I'm guessing that this is another HUD gauge other than your default...

Ciao!

Mr. "Pop,"

In mine I think it is shf 3(or 4) brings up a "HUD control panel" ?

Was that a custom gauge that you've replaced the default F/A-18's HUD with?  Does that custom HUD Panel allow you to change HUD colors?   I'll try (tonight) and see if those Key combinations would work with the default... However, I used added gauges in the Aircraft.cfg which take up those items.

Thanks!
