Directx 10, Night texture missing

Hello :-)

After a problem of night texture with LSGG Geneva a find a post who said that the FSdreamtream LSGG is not compatible with Directx 10.
Do you plan a patch for this or do you have an "astuce"?

I don't have this problem with LSZH so it's a shame to use directx 9 only for one scenery?

I'm sorry, but there is no way to make Geneva work with DX10. If there was, we would already did it.

We believe that DX10 mode is not really usable, since there are issues even with default airports and no, it's not just LGSS, but also KLAS and KFLL, and our sceneries are not the only ones that do not work at night with DX10.

The earlier ones worked, because the ground was made in a less advanced way, which in several cases, lead to some complaints about textures being blurred, especially at JFK, which is compatible with DX10.

What Virtuali is saying is correct; however, this developer has created a conversion tool (GET IT HERE: Addon Converter X v1.03 ) which will convertor textures from DX9 formats to use in DX10 and its got a trailware version for you to test before you buy.  I own it and it works 100% for Aircraft but, for sceneries there are limitations.  My only suggestion is to try it for LSGG and/or the others.  I've switched back to DX9 now for a long time (due to many of my addon Airports being only DX9 capable) and don't remember if I did this for LSGG or not.  So, it won't hurt you to try it if you are "Gun-ho" on sticking with DX10.

To my knowledge all Addon Converter does is convert the textures to dds. Fsdt already uses dds textures, so it won't do anything. LSGG will work fine in the daytime, the limitation is not the textures but the fs2002-sdk ground polygons at night. It just won't work with DX10 so don't waste your time with the Addon Converter crap.

Really thanks a lot for the tool "addon Converter X" that I do not know. I will try that :-) And will see what happens. I will give my feedback
