Okay I am going to start over with a play by play of what I did to configure GSX to use the ladder on this plane:

Step 1: Started with a fresh config session

Step 2: I automatically get this screen when I use the Customize button
I have to use the Num 9 key to get (Cycle) the stairs start icon. (See step 3).

Step 3: I will move the stairs start to the top on the ladder in the plane.

Step 4

Step 5: I will move this stairs end to the bottom of the ladder.

Step 6:

Step 7: I have completed the config session by pressing the ("Y") key

Your error is that you skipped the door configuration, and jumped to the embedded stair Start, so the door is still in the default position. You need ALL 3 items configured:

1) The door ( Pax 1 )

2) The Start position of the Embedded stairs

3) The End position of the Embedded stairs

The door is one thing, the embedded stairs are another thing. Configuring just the embedded stairs won't work, if you don't create the door properly.

I'm just now finding that out. I was going to mention this as I was doing all the steps you mentioned and noted that now the pax depart down the stairs normally.

I had been ignoring the first icon (Pax 1) and cycled (Num 9) to the stairs start and went from there. Thanks for all your support and assistance.

All the best
