Carenado Embraer 120 cargo loading
« on: May 19, 2020, 04:09:51 am »
Is there a way to get GSX to treat this aircraft as a freighter? I setup the loading door locations and chose a pallet as the cargo type, but the loaders keep showing up as a belt loader. Obviously the Embraer 120 is too small for full size ULD containers, but I do believe pallets can be loaded into it. Is there a way to get this to work without a separate freighter model?

In the GSX aircraft editor menu, make sure the box for the cargo variant is checked.

Thanks I did do that but for some reason only the pilots and crew board, but no loader shows up. Maybe it is a sizing issue. The traditional loaders that are with GSX are for larger freighters. Pallets can be loaded in an E120, but I don't think they use this kind of equipment.

There are no pallet loaders in GSX that have a platform that can go lower than 1.92 meters so, if your cargo doors are lower than that, they won't be used.

Thanks I got it working with some compromises. Unfortunately the size of pallets and ULD's that are available with GSX, aren't quite small enough for a 51" wide x 53" high cargo door, but hey at least I can somewhat realistically load cargo now.

I used the CFG file provided in this topic for the E120, but even when opening the doors, passengers and crew do not appear (I know that the cargo is not possible, due to the size of the aircraft). Is it so, only vehicles appear, without passengers?
