Author Topic: Strange couatl error when starting up p3d v5 SOLVED (Read 3927 times)

After installing Active Sky P3D5 Beta and starting up. I am noticing a weird popup in p3d saying some unknown addon is causing something, I didn't catch it in time because it popped up and went away, but what I manage to click was yes and this is what I saw (posted an image at the bottom). Now my planes won't even start up after this error. I think it has something to do with this error.

We are checking this, it happens only 1 times out of 10 here, but we are looking at it now.

Should be fixed by running the FSDT Live Update now.

Your log shows you still haven't got the fix, since you still have the previous Couatl.exe build ( 4334 ), the fixed one is 4336. Run the FSDT Live Update again, and be sure the new Couatl.exe is being downloaded.

Hi,
just today I re-installed for the 4th time in few days GSX l2 and run the "Live update". This evening, after a flight, I got the usual pop up warning of a "unkown" etc error. Attached the text log, please asking to decypher what has happened. But this time, after chose "yes" to restart Couati with the sim on, the GSX option didn't disappear from the menu, but I've been told that the airport cache has been restored.
BTW, thanks for any explanation (P3D v5+HF1).

Your log shows you still haven't got the fix, since you still have the previous Couatl.exe build ( 4334 ), the fixed one is 4336. Run the FSDT Live Update again, and be sure the new Couatl.exe is being downloaded.

If the update cannot be downloaded, check all the following:

- be absolutely sure you added the Addon Manager folder to the antivirus Exclusions

- be absolutely sure you turn off every firewall or similar security software that might interfere with the download

- run the FSDT Live update after you are sure you checked the first two points.

- if that doesn't work, try after a Windows restart
