GSX Parking System Editor
« on: December 17, 2019, 05:47:33 am »
Hello-

I am using P3D and GSX level 2. I am trying to editor parking locations and replace the marshaller with the safedock systems at select gates. However, the safedock is positioned to high on the wall. I am trying to use the 'Z' key to lower the object however it does not recognize it. the 'Q' key allows the object to go up. any ideas?

do you have an addon that took the keys? Most likeli some other addon has taken over control over those keys needed.

Doesn’t seem to be the issue. No addons use ‘Z’

Then try to reset the "slew" commands in prepar3d by reentering them. Or you have changed the keyboard layout by accident? That's all that comes into my mind that could affect this.

GSX doesn't use any specific keys, or try to read the keyboard directly. It will use whatever key is currently mapped to the Slew Events in the simulator. In the case of what is *commonly* mapped to the Z key, GSX will use what is currently mapped to the "Slew Down (slowly)" command in the Controls Page and, this Event can be either:

- Used by another Add-on. Check that.

OR

- Changed or disabled by yourself using the Slew section of the Controls page.

OR

- Be different in some countries ( German keyboard have the Y and Z keys reversed )
