As explained so many times, Couatl CANNOT "crash the sim". It's an external .EXE and, by definition, and external .EXE cannot crash the sim, since they are totally isolated from each other by Windows itself.

You are being mislead thinking Couatl is the cause but, in fact, is likely the other way around. Your simulator is crashing for another reason and, since it's crashing abruptly, it CAUSES Couatl to crash because, when the sim crashes suddenly, it cannot send the "quit" Simconnect command to all open Simconnect applications, so they cannot do their normal clean up on exit, so you see that error event in the Event Viewer, which only indicates Couatl had an error *because* the simulator crashed.

Do you ALSO have an Event about the sim itself crashed ? Is the timestamp earlier than the Couatl error ? If yes, that means the sim crashed *before* Couatl, so Couatl was the victim, not the cause. This is just for your confirmation, since Couatl ( being an .EXE ) cannot crash the sim, it's only to convince you in case you don't believe it.

Thanks for your response. I do now understand, yes there is some error file before the couatl crash. What is it I'm not sure, seem to be a windows issue as its asking for Windows Administrative tools.
