F/A-18 NAV1/2

Can someone give me how to set NAV1/2.  I know how to set them and how exactly do i intercept the ILS on the F/A-18 for the hud to change?

There's no NAV2, the VHF is either in TCN (=VOR) mode or ILS mode.
