P3D Crash When Fuel on Board Reaches Target Quantity
« on: November 05, 2019, 11:33:22 am »
Hi All,

Aerosoft Airbus A319, A320, A321
P3D - 4.5 HF2
GSX - Latest online update
3 different default airports

Since Saturday, when GSX refuelling completes, I see the spinning cursor then P3D crashes to the Desktop.  It's always at the exact moment that the fuel on board counter reaches the target quantity.

The crash happened at 3 default airports and in 3 different Aerosoft Airbuses.

The event viewer indicates KERNEL.DLL so I clean installed my graphics drivers which didn't help.

It looks like some Windows updates were applied on Saturday, so this may be the cause.

Are there any debugging options or logs that GSX uses that would help me figure out what is going wrong?

Thanks everyone,

Dave.

The crash happened at 3 default airports and in 3 different Aerosoft Airbuses.

GSX (being an external program running under the Couatl.exe interpreter ) cannot crash the simulator, since it's an .EXE. But an airplane gauge, being a .DLL, can.

The Aerosoft Airbus uses some custom code to interact with GSX so, the most likely cause is something there is not working correctly, so I suggest first trying with a default airplane, to confirm the problem is not GSX, and possibly report it to Aerosoft.
