why does my fsx steam 747-400 appear white at airports
« on: September 06, 2019, 05:54:54 pm »
Can someone explain what i am doing wrong here. I downloaded some 747-400's from simaviation.com and flyawaysimulation.com to get some liveries i added on tothe game. when i start and have the aircraft on the runway at KLAX or NZAA the aircraft livery goes white. No livery. Yet when i climb out at FL700FT just taken off the livery appears back on the plane. Why does this happen what is causing this

Just a guess, but it sounds like there are so many textures loading while a the airport and auto gen, that the texture load rate slows. I don't get this at airports, but if I am flying using detailed scenery like orbx and I switch to an external view, it can take a while for my aircraft textures to load and I fly a white plane for a while. Similarly, when I switch back to cockpit vie, it takes time for the panel textures to load.
