Parking Brake release after pushback
« on: July 30, 2019, 11:47:41 pm »
After pushback is completed and the truck has been disconnected the Ground Crew give the thumbs up. That should be the signal that it’s okay to release the parking brake and start taxiing.

But if I release it at that point GSX issues a bong and a message states the parking brake should be applied immediately. It is only after the message “have a good trip” is displayed I can safely turn off the brake. This is a bit irritating. Can the trigger be adjusted please? I don’t understand the reason for the extra delay.
Cheers,
Ray.

First, yesterday was a national holiday in Switzerland and, of course, we are very busy finishing O'Hare so, excuse me if I haven't replied with the usual blazing speed.

But, of course, as usual, every GSX suggestion is always read and taken into account, and the one that make sense usually end up appearing in an update. It's just that we try to add the most significant ones first, you'll see in the next update.

Thank you for replying Umberto. I trust you’ll forgive me if I’m not familiar with Swiss Holidays. Maybe a pinned topic would help there.  ;)

Thanks for looking at this. I would like to react to what I see out of the cockpit window and not a message on the screen. A quick fix I’m sure you will agree.
Cheers,
Ray.

This would be a very welcome change.

Thumbs up from the marshaller and here we go without the *DING* "Set parking brakes immediately" message.
