Scenery Question???
« on: September 07, 2009, 03:33:40 am »
Virtuali,

What is the difference with a 7cm/pixel digital sourced aerial imagery resolution vs. your C++ Scenery code implementation?  Both look outstanding, from a visual stand point. But, what are the benefits of your C++ code (perhaps speed/performance in loading times) over whatever FTX Orbx is doing with theirs here?

e.g.

I'm considering SSD's for enhanced performance vs. 10,000RPM HDD's and am wondering if there is a noticable difference in performance or other features to consider when migrating to something as new as that for your future and larger scenery/tool/aircraft projects, like PHNL - Thought you might have some ideas. ::)

Just food for thought... Grazie!
Ciao!  :)

Thank you very much.
