GSX Level 2 suggestion-request
« on: May 01, 2019, 04:35:17 pm »
Hello FSDT Team!
When choosing "disable staricase" from parking setup, the passengers are not shown, as intended.
My suggestion-request is to have the choice to put "fake" staircases (like invisible 3d model) so i can see passengers boarding on a plane like the CRJ that have its own stairs.
Ok, maybe they will not climb it perfectly, but better than nothing.
What do you think Umberto? Could it be an idea?

I suggest reading the manual, Page 48, the "Embedded Staircase" option.

You shouldn't move the exit location (unless it was wrong in your configuration), but leave the door as it were, and place the two start/end points of the embedded stairs correctly. The embedded staircases it's an addition to the exit, not a replacement.

i also do not see the conditional option.

The option is only available with our own internal database, it's not yet access it from the program user interface. However, you normally don't need the conditional option, unless your airplane is one that can *switch* between using an embedded stair or an external one, like the 737 but if it's ok for you to always use the embedded staircase, you don't need the conditional option.

I read the manual regarding the conditional staircases.  Where does one put the variable as requested for the custom staircase boolean?  Trying to add this on the SkySim DC-9.

Code: [Select]
[exit1]
pos = -1.52 13.94 -0.02 0.00
code = 1
name = EXITOPEN1
embeddedStair = -1.77 13.69 -0.02 -4.15 13.70 -2.40

Thanks!

In other words, it exists, but we as end users can’t use it...

Exactly. Of course, this can change at any time with future updates.
