What does "P3D V4.4+" mean?
« on: July 03, 2019, 01:15:32 pm »
Does it work for V4.4?

Or do you really mean V4.5 and above?

If so, how do you re-install the original Level 1  GSX for V4.4?  My old installer for V 2.6 seems to be picking up the new files automatically and it's not recognising my V4.4 installation.

Did you pick the correct installer? There is one for Prepar 4 and one for FSX and Perpar 1-3... If you have the wrong one, it won't be recognised.

I have V4 but have stuck with V4.4 rather than going to V4.5 because of the adverse comment 4.5 got initially.

Hence my question:  does V4.4+ mean V4.3 and above or V4.4 and above?

4.4+ means AT LEAST 4.4 as in "4.4 OR better". If your P3D 4.4 is not detected, it's because you have a version lower than 4.4

If, instead, you started the FSX installer (the P3D4 installer is now separate), it will tell you something different "Prepar3D4 not supported by this installer"

OK that's clear, thanks.  I have V4.4 installed and I will check I have the right installer.

OK that was probably me, having struck a problem at first, I un-installed Level 1 and re-installed it with an old installer from way back when to get a clean start.  Have redone it a second time with new installers and now both Level 1 and Level 2 seem to be working.  Thanks.
