GSX PBR Update preview video
« on: April 23, 2019, 03:16:52 pm »
Hello to all,

We are very sorry this update is taking longer than expected, so here's a video to show some of the new features:

There will be a new video soon, showing how easy will be now to customize ground and catering operators, and jetways, with new logos.

Looks really good!!!

Hope, the update does also contain a separate command for boarding the pilots and crew?

Very impressive!! Will there also be a public beta testing? Or any timeframe indication?
Thanks for sharing!

Looks really great!! Will the tow-to-parking feature be added in this update or in a later one?

would be more important to have a better / configurabale working pushback.
As example in TNCM it is still not possible from the last Stand on the right side (A4) or EDDP A401/402 , A421/422 and so on.
Towing is also missing since a very long time as other thing which are announced since a very long time.

Already discussed and answered here:

"Not possible" is something that should always be verified, before being so sure about it. Maybe it might be difficult to do with the current interface, or not possible without changing the scenery AFCAD, but surely not impossible.

If you think they really are, why there are no post of yours reporting a problem with the pushback on these sceneries at these gates, supplying with the usual data we need, like which scenery you are referring to, which gate, which  AFCAD, and how you would like the pushback to be ? How we would even supposed to KNOW there is a possible problem, if you don't report it ?

Yes, we know perfectly well GSX Pushback doesn't pull so, are these all cases that cannot be solved unless pulling back ?

If yes, then they are in fact "impossible" with the current GSX and you will have to wait for the Pushback remake, which will obviously include pull, which makes automatically possible towing from gate to gate (they are the same thing).

If not, and such push could be done in the normal direction, then it's surely possible with GSX so, please, make a proper post, indicating what you want to achieve, supply all data required, and we'll see if it could be done by a simple custom pushback node.

We never "announced" it. THIS is announcement, which shows what IS going to be in an update. Instead, we said we'll redo the Pushback entirely, but we never announced anything or said it would be in THIS update.

Will there also be a viewpoint in the SODE jetway at the entry of the door so we can see passengers boarding, even when the jetway is not of the transparant type? And for example at the bottom of the stairs? Or are only 'real' vehicles like pushback truck, fuel truck, bagage loaders equipped with specific viewpoints?

Yes, of course there will be. All jetways will have two custom viewpoints, which can be also very useful in the customization editor, to place them more precisely.

We placed custom cameras that activate/deactivate automatically depending on the context. For example, when in the airplane configuration, there are specific custom cameras that can be used to move the pointer more precisely and easily, for example a door, the custom refuel point under the wing, etc.

While editing the vehicles parking position, there's a special Top view that, instead of being centered on the airplane, like the default one, follows the vehicle which is being edited right now. Useful to place things that might be tricky to see otherwise, like a Docking system that must by flush to a wall.

They will be part of the update, of course. But it will work only for GSX Level 2 users. All the other features will be available for free for everybody (even those that bought GSX in 2012...), although most of the features will require P3D 4.4+ at minimum. For FSX, it will be just a collection of generic bugfixes of issues found in the last months.
