GSX and Couatl cannot cause a CTD, since Couatl it's an external program and GSX is running inside it, totally separated from the sim.
What probably happened, is you got a CTD for other reasons, and this affected GSX, since closing the sim abruptly it's very likely to cause issues to all running addons.
