Heavy gate "to small" for 777 of 747
« on: February 14, 2019, 03:23:20 pm »
I run P3D V4.4, have EDDM from Taxi2Gate.
Sode Gates are installed and updated with files from T2G.

When I want to start GSX to operate jetways or pushback on
a "heavy" gate GSX tells me, that the gate is to small for my plane.

These are gates big enough for 380 with many jetways so they should
be able to accomodate a tiny 777ER.

Can anybody help me to find out what's wrong?

The wingspan is what matters. I suggest you look into the airport config menu. Locate the stand you want and see what the max allowable wingspan is. It is very likely that this is less than the wingspan of a b77w.

Thanks for the answer. Where do I find the -.cfg file? I only find a sim.cfg but it does not contain the relevant data.

In reality the gates are configured for A380 (wingspan 68m) thus would be comfy for 777 (< 61m) or 747 (64m).

Just open the sim and go to eddm select that stand. Go to addons gsx airport options then see what the wingspan says in there.

Thanks, that helped. By pressing on the airplane symbol I can change the max wingspan for the plane and then voilá, it works.
